Why use soy wax?
Soy wax is cleaner and burns longer than paraffin. Additionally, it is biodegradable, comes from natural sources, and does not release toxins.
How do I get the most out of my candle experience?
Get Lit. Your first light should liquefy the entire top of layer of the wax to avoid a "ring." Allow your the melted wax pool to reach the edge of the container.
Burn candle less than 4 hours at a time. This will give you the best scent distribution and keep the container at a safe temperature. Do not touch the metal tin while the candle is burning, or while it is still warm.
Fragrance. When trying to reach a level of fragrance, consider the size of your room--the smaller the room, the more fragrance the candle will produce.
Wick. Trim the wick to 1/4" of height after the first burn so that it continues a steady ash-free flame.
Wooden Wicks. Wooden wicks light slow, so hold the light for about 20 seconds to light the wick. Trim the wood to 1/4" off the extra-burnt wood before you light it.
Let Go & Recycle. Know when it's time to say goodbye to your favorite candle (don't burn your candles to the very (very) bottom of the container) and reuse the container. To remove the remaining wax, place the candle in the freezer for a few hours--it is that easy. Try planting succulents or using the metal tins to store objects.
